What Should I Pay Attention to When Applying Betsan’s Mosaics?

Excellent craftsmanship will increase the value of your Betsan products. You can easily achieve this result following the steps that we recommend for this purpose.

Mosaic application needs to be performed using a specific technique. You can easily complete the installation process by staying true to the mosaic application guide we have outlined for you.

Before applying the mosaic, the following must be considered:

You need to prepare the surface on which you will apply the mosaic. The surface must be completely clean to ensure good adhesion to the wall or floor. There should be no traces of dirt, plaster, or enamel.
You need to make sure that the application surface is not moist and does not have cracks. This will allow for a more homogeneous and smooth adhesion.

Pointing Process

According to EN12004, you should use C2 adhesive. The adhesive should be spread evenly on the surface of about 2m2 with the smooth side of the trowel. The adhesive should be combed with the notched side of the trowel with a thickness of mm.

Placement of Mosaics

Mosaic tiles should be placed on the adhesive spread on the application surface by pressing with a rubber trowel. Application with precise observation may be required to ensure that the joint spaces between the plates are equal.

Joint Application

The joint process is performed after making sure the adhesive has dried. Joints should be clean, dry, and free of dust. The joint filler should be applied between the mosaics with the help of a trowel and then spread so that it closes all the gaps. Joint residues that may be present after laying should be removed before they dry.

Cleaning

After the joints have dried, the cleaning process starts. The entire application area is wiped with a wet and clean sponge along the mosaic surfaces and joint spaces until the brightest appearance is obtained.
